COVID-19 – 29 October UPDATE 1 – Return to School

Dear Parents/Carers,

It is my pleasure to write to you today with what I hope to be the final update regarding our return to onsite learning since the beginning of this pandemic.

As you are aware, the ease of restrictions is moving at a very fast pace and therefore I officially welcome back all students who will return to onsite learning this coming Wednesday 3 November.

This past week of staged return, with some students onsite only part-time, has been a challenge. However, I am delighted with how our students have embraced the transition back.

We will continue to monitor COVID-19 cases, however having now managed the situation twice in the past nine days, I feel confident our responsiveness to positive cases among our students and staff will only become more efficient as we proceed into this new normal.

Please know that my priority is the safety and wellbeing of our students and community. It is for this reason that I encourage all those who are eligible, to get vaccinated and to take the opportunities available to discuss any concerns with health professionals.

As always, I thank you for your steadfast understanding and support over these past two years. In some ways it has felt as though we’ve been in a ‘holding pattern’, however we can now begin to move forward with greater confidence.

Kind regards,
Rory Kennedy
Principal
