COVID-19 – 30 September UPDATE 1 – Return to School, Term 4

Dear Parents and Guardians,

I share the following information regarding students’ return to the College as part of the current roadmap out of this lockdown.

There will be no students at the College on Monday 4 October outside of those who have previously been identified as requiring onsite supervision. All learning on this day will be remote and online.

All Unit 4 VCE students will be onsite on Tuesday 5 October to complete the General Achievement Test (GAT). As advised by VCAA, it would be best for Unit 4 students to be COVID-19 tested on either Saturday 2 October or Sunday 3 October prior to the GAT. For more information please refer to the letter sent to Unit 4 students.

From Wednesday 6 October to Monday 25 October, Year 7-11 students will be learning remotely. Unit 4 students (including Unit 4 students in Year 11) and Year 12 VCAL will continue learning onsite.

I will advise you of further changes as information becomes available.

Please be aware buses will be running as normal.

You are reminded that if your child is unwell, they need to remain at home, even with the mildest of symptoms.

When at the College, students are asked to practise social distancing wherever possible. While maintaining a physical distance of 1.5 metres will not always be practical in the school environment, we are asking that you support us by reminding your child of these requirements.

We look forward to students returning to the College for face-to-face teaching throughout Term 4.

Take care and God bless.

Kind regards,
Rory Kennedy
Principal
