Message from the Principal – As We Proceed into Term 2, 2022

Dear Parents/Carers,

With the start to this term well underway, I am pleased that so many events are once again able to take place.

Although the Athletics Carnival didn’t go ahead today, Opening Night of the 2022 College Musical, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory did, and it was a resounding success. The students performed very well and should be proud of their work. It was also affirming to see so many members of the community join the College to support the cast and crew.

As we move into the colder months, I expect to see COVID-19 and flu cases rise. It is my hope that we can all remain safe and healthy as we see through the first winter in two years without a lockdown in place. I am, however, ever grateful for our community and its perseverance, and am confident we will once again support one another through the challenges ahead.

I take this moment to remind you of the College’s contingency plan, should staff shortages create a need for them to be implemented. You will be able to find these in full in your Operoo News Articles, titled ‘PLEASE NOTE: Strategies for Staff Shortages in Upcoming Months’. This was published on Friday 1 April 2022.

I hope you all have a lovely weekend ahead and feel ready for the rest of this term. We have many more events and activities to look forward to this year.

God bless.

Kind regards,
Rory Kennedy
Principal
